Great news! Doug Bentz and Sam Reed completed their bike ride across the United States on September 12, 2004. As you may recall they started out on two V2 Formulas on June 16, 2004. Neither were experienced bikers, let alone familiar with recumbents. In my talk with them on the phone they stated great performance from the machines, with only some worn but still functioning seat mesh, as the only mechanical problem.
